This page gives you general information about the most spectacular, hilarious and funky party in the whole universe - GOOM. It is a cruise meant for students and other young people who have a GOOM kind of attitude: "Think positive and have fun together with other absolutely fabulous individuals."

10th GooM 3.2 - 8.2.2002
First GOOM was organised in 1993, so the next time we're able to celebrate GOOM's 10th amazing year. Students from every Finnish university see GOOM as one of the highlights of the season. "GOOM - you just have to be there" or "GOOM - I wouldn't miss it for any price" are typical comments from the participants. It's not surprising that 12,500 students are expected to join the GOOM 2002.

Partyboat m/s Cinderella
The biggest luxury cruiser of the shipping company Viking Line, m/s Cinderella is chartered for five days solely for the purposes of the GOOM-cruise. Ship departs from Helsinki every GOOM-day at 15.00 arrives the next day at 11.00. Because the trips last 20 hours the purchases on board the ship are tax-free. In the ship's many bars and restaurants, a crew of over 200 bartenders and waiters guarantees that you won't suffer from hunger or thirst. The party on board last through the whole night.

Bands and program
During every one of the five cruise days, the organiser of this unbelievable fiesta, GOOMega Ltd., proudly presents two top bands. These are chosen from among the most popular groups in Finland. GOOM also brings aboard its own DJs. They are pure professionals who aim to give you the most excellent of vibrations. You've got to be prepared with sturdy dancing shoes and few extra litres of excessive sweat.
